At Metro way principally work with national and international retailers, spending time to understand their business objectives, and partnering with them to help best achieve their targets. Examples of our award winning work are the rollout for TopShop and securing inner city metro stores for supermarket operator Countdown.

We work with international fashion and luxury retailers to help facilitate their growth objectives.

Within the domestic market, we have strong relationships across the market - from the prominent High Street chains, to boutiques operating in the eclectic parts of town, and large format retailers trading in SupaCentres.

We are also closely involved with various retailers restructuring their portfolios where we have disposed of non-performing stores, sought replacements, and secured new locations.

We operate in the heart of Auckland and Wellington CBDs which are where our offices are located - and our team live and breathe occupier movements within these local markets.

We work with tenants large and small who want their premises requirements to be handled professionally. Our most notable transactions to date have been high profile leasings to two of the world’s largest companies in the Vero Building and 205 Queen Street, Auckland. We have also negotiated stay put deals for a large multinational in the Viaduct, and new premises leasing for a global property services company in south Auckland and Wellington.

We have built a professional reputation up over many years and as result have long-standing relationships with most of the major landlords - we understand their requirements to make deals work which is also key in forming a successful landlord / tenant partnership for the future.


LPT’s, Syndicates, Private Investors & Developers

Our network of owners and investors is nationwide. We primarily work with the major stakeholders in prime locations, who we have usually had relationships with for decades. Within the CBD's, we work with the major corporate landlords, as well as the extensive number of private owners that proliferate the area. We touch these owners on many levels as they are generally clients to several areas of our business at any one time.

Elsewhere, we have a long-standing relationships with the major bulk retail and shopping centre owners, having worked for many years with investors such as Argosy, Stride, and NZRPG and AMP.

Our activity in the hotel arena transcends pre-leasing of new sites through to sale of hotels as going concerns, and we work with the major national and international hotel groups and hotel investors.

Private investors make up a sizeable portion of our business, and the majority of our investment sales and acquisition activity. We are retained by several investors to source off market transactions, and by others as their preferred professional sales agents.
